GREENS DN-MSCA
GREENS (A Training Programme on 5Rs Implementation in Micro- and Nanorobotic Design, Manufacturing, and Application) is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network (DN-MSCA) funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe. This multidisciplinary initiative brings together leading European universities, research centers, and industry partners to train the next generation of researchers in the development of sustainable micro- and nanorobotics.

Our Mission
We aim to revolutionize the field of micro/nanorobotic technologies by integrating the 5Rs principle (Reduce, Recycle, Rethink, Repair, and Reuse) into every stage of design, fabrication, and application. By fostering environmentally responsible approaches, GREENS aligns with the EU’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal, ensuring minimal environmental impact while maximizing innovation.
Our Focus Areas
-
Sustainable Design – Developing degradable and recyclable materials for micro/nanorobots.
 -
Advanced Fabrication – Exploring cost-efficient, scalable production methods.
 -
Eco-Friendly Applications – Implementing microrobots for biomedical, environmental, and industrial use cases.
 -
Doctoral Training – Providing top-tier PhD fellowships with hands-on training and intersectoral collaboration.

Who We Are
GREENS is a collaborative effort between top-tier European institutions and industry leaders, creating a dynamic ecosystem for research, innovation, and knowledge transfer. Our network ensures that early-stage researchers (ESRs) gain expertise in cutting-edge nanotechnology, biomaterials, intelligent materials, and life cycle analysis.
