Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network on the 5R Concept for micro and nanorobot platforms

Micro and nanoscale robotic platforms are reshaping biomedical and environmental technologies through precision, targeted delivery, and scalable automation. GREENS applies the 5R principles—Reduce, Recycle, Rethink, Repair, and Reuse—across their entire life cycle, from fabrication to end-of-life, aligning with the European Commission’s sustainability goals.

Our Objectives

5R Cycle

Implement 5R cycle from green manufacturing to final nano/microrobot degradation

Promote sustainability through Reduce, Recycle, Rethink, Repair, and Reuse in every stage of design, manufacturing, and application.

Eco-friendly Fabrication

Eco-friendly fabrication and sustainable raw materials

Design products and processes that minimize hazardous substances using proximity product and reused materials.

Smart Microrobots

Focus on biocompatible, degradable, and smart microrobots

Design robots able to perform multicyle degradation. Use of biological-based and biodegradable materials.
