GREENS Project Kickoff Meeting

On April 3rd and 4th, we held the kick-off meeting of the GREENS Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network at the Universitat de Barcelona. This dynamic and inspiring gathering brought together all our partners to officially launch the project, share expertise, and shape the future of this exciting network.

Over the course of two days, both beneficiary and associate partners introduced ourselves, outlined the research and training goals, and began building strong collaborations that will guide GREENS MSCA forward. The agenda was packed with engaging presentations and lively discussions, as well as really nice social events to explore Barcelona and its gastronomy.

• Prof. Alex Tarancon Sanz, Vice-Dean of Academics and Quality of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Barcelona for his warm welcome to all the GREENS partners.

• Prof. Eva Pellicer and Prof. László Péter for their insights on training and recruitment

• Dr. Carlos Franco Pujante for his support in logistics and board introduction

• Prof. Juliane Simmchen for presenting the dissemination and outreach strategy, giving an strong emphasis to gender and diversity aspects

• Dr. Maria Guix and Dr. Beltzane Garcia Cirera for coordinating the entire event.

• Finally, to the best tour guide, Prof. Giovanni Volpe, for the scientific walk through Barcelona!

We would like to thank once more to everyone who joined us, whether in person or online, for making the event so easy-going and enjoyable. It was the perfect start to building a strong and connected network.

This is just the beginning of a truly GREENS and sustainable journey.
