Celebrating 30 Years of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

March 11, 2026

This year marks a special milestone for the European research community: 30 years since the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) were named after the pioneering Polish-French scientist Marie Skłodowska-Curie, whose groundbreaking work on radioactivity earned her two Nobel Prizes.

Since its creation, the MSCA programme has supported more than 150,000 researchers at all stages of their careers. Through international mobility, cross-sector collaboration, and a strong commitment to research excellence, the programme has played a key role in strengthening Europe’s research and innovation ecosystem.

The GREENS MSCA Doctoral Network is proud to be part of this legacy, contributing to the training of the next generation of researchers while advancing innovative research across multiple institutions and countries.

A Message from Marie Skłodowska-Curie’s Granddaughter

As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations, the European Commission has released an inspiring video message from Prof. Hélène Langevin-Joliot, granddaughter of Marie Skłodowska-Curie. In this message, she reflects on the enduring legacy of her grandmother’s scientific achievements and the continuing importance of supporting international research collaboration.
